ABOUT US

WE'VE BEEN PROVIDING INDUSTRY LEADING QUALITY AND CUSTOMIZATION TO OUR CUSTOMERS FOR OVER 50 YEARS WITH A MISSION TO MAKE EVERY HOME A HOME WORTH LIVING.

THE ORIGINS OF STROM

Strom, or strøm, means "current" or "stream" in the family’s native land of Norway. The Strom plumbing line is designed and built to represent the majestic waterways of the world.
Our faucets, like the Rio Grande, represent the world's beautiful rivers of the world and our tubs, like the Seneca, represent the world's exquisite lakes.
We are committed to continuing our search of the world for the highest quality products and people to serve you.

FROM SIGN OF THE CRAB TO STROM LIVING

In 1972, Frank Strom started Sign of the Crab and began providing quality solid brass products for the home.
In 2018, the Strom family transferred ownership of Sign of the Crab and Strom Plumbing to create Strom Living.

For over 45 years, Strom Living has been curating quality products and providing premium support to our customers. We look forward to continue serving our customers for the next 45 years.

THE EVOLUTION OF OUR PRODUCT LINE

1972 - We began by importing antique reproduction hardware and decorative brass accessories as Sign of the Crab.

1980s - The creation of the Strom Plumbing line led us to include antique style and faucetry and bathroom accessories.

2020 - We provide an extensive line of reproduction and modern faucetry, cast iron and acrylic clawfoot tubs, pedestal tubs and sinks.

UPHOLDING THE LEGACY

Strom Living will continue to uphold the legacy of Sign of the Crab as a company that values authenticity and innovation.

We curate, hand assemble, finish and ship each of our products from our facility in Elk Grove, California to every customer. Every fixture we produce is a reflection of our relentless pursuit of quality and improvement.

We are here to help our customers reimagine and transform their homes.

HOW WE ASSEMBLE OUR PRODUCTS

OUR PRODUCTS ARE ASSEMBLED & FINISHED TO LAST

FAUCET CONSTRUCTION

Our faucets are constructed with high quality, low lead brass. Our lavatory & kitchen faucets are lead free per California AB1953. They meet all current regulations with regard to lead composition.

Each item is individually assembled and tested in the United States.

TUBS

Our tub legs are constructed from solid brass with either chrome or nickel plating, an electrostatically applied Supercoat, and a Satin Black or Oil Rubbed Bronze finish. Our white tub legs are constructed of cast iron and premium gloss paint. Most of our cast iron tubs are IAPMO approved.

All of our tubs include adhesive non-slip strips for the consumer to install.

VALVE TYPES

All faucets will be shipped with 1/4 turn ceramic valves. Our 1/4 turn ceramic cartridge uses 2 ceramic disks that rotate to open and close the valve, thus minimizing mechanical wear.

Thermostatic valves control the constant output temperature of the faucet.
