Which Cartridge Does My Strom Faucet Need?

When a Strom Living faucet starts to drip, or a handle feels stiff, the fix is usually a new cartridge, not a new faucet. Our faucets use quarter-turn ceramic disc cartridges, and the right one depends on three things: the kind of faucet you have, the style of its handles, and its finish.

1. Find your faucet type

The cartridge follows the faucet body, not the model name:

Your faucet Hot & cold Diverter
Tub faucets with the round 3-ball body (P0006B) PP0106Q pair PP0106DQ
British telephone tub faucets (P0146 body) PP0245 pair PP6502Q
Bridge faucets PP0106Q pair (P1063 and P1064: PP0106Q45)
Widespread lavatory faucets PP0110P / PP0111P, sold one at a time
In-wall tub & shower sets PP0268 / PP0272 PP0104-1
Thermostatic showers and tub faucets: the temperature handle PP0298-1 for valves made after September 2009
Thermostatic sets with one diverter handle, that send water to the shower head or the handshower, like the P1085 PP0297D-1
Thermostatic sets with a separate on/off handle for each outlet, so both can run at once, like the P0902 PP0297 shut-off cartridge, one per on/off handle

2. Check your handles: cross or lever

Cross handles and lever handles turn in opposite directions, so we set each cartridge to turn the right way for your handle. That's why every cartridge asks for your handle style when you order.

  • Cross handles (four spokes): a widespread lavatory faucet takes two PP0110P cartridges.
  • Lever handles (a single arm): it takes one PP0110P for the hot side and one PP0111P for the cold side.

3. Match the finish

Part of the cartridge shows under the handle, so choose the same finish as your faucet. Each cartridge page lists the finishes it comes in.

Thermostatic valves: check the year

PP0298-1 fits thermostatic valves made after September 2009. If your valve is older, contact us and we'll find the right part. Our thermostatic valve maintenance guide shows how to keep it working smoothly.

Bought before 2005?

Faucets from before 2005 used stem cartridges, and we've since changed to ceramic discs. Contact us first so we can send the right part.

Still not sure?

Send a photo of the faucet and its handles through our contact page, or use the cartridge finder. Our cartridges are made for Strom Living faucets and aren't meant for other brands. Parts ordered before 12 PM Pacific usually ship the same day.
